KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities

  • Understanding the regulatory requirements regarding Policy Issuance
  • Managing Governance related project and driving the closure
  • Publishing monthly Dashboards to the respective stakeholders
  • Highlighting the outages and sharing the data post careful assessment and validation with internal audit teams/Policy Issuance team
  • Working in coordination with the Policy Issuance / production managers to improve the overall accuracy in decision making
  • Preparing and conducting monthly training/meetings updating activities under Governance framework
  • Assessment and evaluation in end to end closure of cases highlighted under Governance framework (Audit, Quality check etc)
  • Conduct trainings/case clinics /mentoring basis above observations and findings
  • Support in internal & external audit activities such as Internal Assurance audit , Legal and compliance ,IRDAI audit & statutory
Build strong risk management practices within Underwriting and Policy Issuance
  • Develop risk selection guidelines to protect MLI's benefits and ensure effective mortality experience management.
People Management-
  • Coach and build in-house underwriting/ Policy Issuance capability through a professional and engaged team.
  • Conduct performance reviews
Measures of Success-
  • Adherence to all regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Timely closure of audit observations and outages shared under Governance framework
  • End to end closure on cases assessed under quality check
  • Sharing regular case studies and conducting trainings for improvising the quality check score
  • Monthly dashboards
  • Solution based action plans
  • Regular rhythm on touch base with Policy Issuance /underwriting productions managers
  • Successful collaboration with stakeholders
  • Closure of critical projects assigned and ensure closure
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure acceptable audit & compliance ratings
  • Contribute to creating a happy workplace
  • Experience of handling team
Key Relationships -
  • Internal: Internal Audit , AI works team , Internal Assurance , UW , URMU and IT team

  • Logical thinking and strong people management skills .
  • Creativity with ability to come up with imaginative and innovative solutions to business needs.

Qualification and experience-
Essential-
  • Post Graduate preferably in Insurance, Medicine or Pharmacy
  • Good technical knowledge of Life and Health
  • At least 10-12 years of related experience; Experience in Risk management is a must.
Desired-
  • Experience in project handling
  • Six sigma certified
  • Should be well versed with MS office, Excellent business writing skills and good ability to make effective presentations.
