Lead and manage end-to-end travel operations, including domestic, international, marine, and corporate travel bookings.
Ensure smooth and efficient operations of ticketing, reservations, visa processing, hotel bookings, car rentals, and forex coordination.
Oversee a team of travel consultants and operations staff to ensure delivery of high-quality service.
Implement cost-effective strategies, supplier negotiations, and optimize travel spend across business units.
Manage client escalations and ensure timely resolution with a customer-first mindset.
Collaborate with sales, accounts, and vendor teams to improve overall workflow efficiency.
Ensure adherence to travel policies, compliance requirements, and SOPs.
Drive team performance metrics and conduct regular performance reviews.
Train, guide, and mentor junior staff and develop skill-building programs.
Stay updated with industry trends, airline policies, GDS systems (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre), and travel technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field.
8-12 years of experience in the travel industry, with minimum 3-5 years in a managerial or team lead role.
Strong knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Sound understanding of travel policies, airline fare structures, ticketing rules, and vendor management.
Ability to manage large travel volumes with high accuracy and speed.
Preferred Traits:
Experience in corporate or marine travel operations is a plus.
Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and client servicing.
Tech-savvy with working knowledge of CRM tools, travel ERPs, and MS Office.
