The Senior Manager, Technical Program Management - India

The

Senior Manager, Technical Program Management - India

is a key leader responsible for overseeing the India-based TPM team, leading critical technical programs, and acting as the TPM leader for the entire India site. This role is a peer to the Engineering Lead, Site Lead, Design Lead, and Product Management Lead and will play a strategic role in driving program execution, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate must have a strong background in technical program management within an agile SaaS environment and demonstrated experience in building and managing high-performing TPM teams.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:




Manager of the India-Based Product TPM Team:




Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing TPM team in India, providing strategic guidance, coaching, and career development. Establish best practices for technical program execution and alignment with global TPM teams. Drive standardization of TPM frameworks, ensuring consistent methodologies for program execution and reporting. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the TPM team.

Lead Critical Technical Programs:




Own and drive the execution of high-impact programs, ensuring successful delivery by managing scope, timelines, and resources. Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Design to align program goals and execution strategies. Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring smooth program execution and stakeholder alignment. Ensure program objectives and key results (OKRs) are well-defined, tracked, and communicated across teams.

TPM Leader for the India Site:




Serve as the TPM representative in India, working closely with the Engineering Lead, Site Lead, Design Lead, and Product Management Lead to drive cross-functional initiatives. Advocate for the TPM function at the site level, ensuring the value of program management is well understood and leveraged. Partner with global TPM leadership to align India site strategy with company-wide goals and execution frameworks. Drive operational excellence, process improvements, and collaboration across teams at the site level.




Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




Senior TPM Leadership:

+ Recent experience (within the last 5-7 years) in establishing and scaling a TPM organization/function within a large (1000+ person) global SaaS company, with a demonstrated track record of building and leading a team of 10+ TPMs. + Demonstrated success in influencing and aligning senior leadership (VP level and above) across Engineering, Product, and Design on program priorities, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.

Strategic Program Portfolio Management:

+ Extensive experience (15-20+ years) in strategic program management, leading a portfolio of highly complex, multi-year, cross-functional programs with significant impact and high visibility. + Proven ability to define and drive organizational-level program strategies, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives and key results (OKRs).

Organizational Leadership & Influence:

+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of effectively communicating with and influencing executive leadership (VP level and above) and key stakeholders. + Proven ability to lead and influence across the organization, even without direct reporting lines, and to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Business Acumen:

+ Deep understanding of SaaS business models, and software development lifecycles. + Ability to engage in strategic business discussions with engineering leaders and influence technology direction.

Global & Cross-Cultural Leadership:

+ Experience in building and leading high-performing teams across multiple geographic locations, including North America and India, with a proven ability to navigate cultural differences and foster collaboration in a global environment.

Talent Development & Mentorship:

+ Proven ability to develop and mentor TPMs, building a strong and sustainable TPM organization.

Education and Training:




Bachelor's degree

in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
