Objectives of the Position:




Lead the supply chain team in G-ECO India on the end-to-end supply chain activities (Demand & Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, Purchase-To-Pay, Make-To-Inventory, Order-To-Cash) to achieve defined business targets and to support profitable business growth. As a member of the G-ECO India Leadership Team, provide the organization with a vision, direction, and collaborative framework in a high performing organization.

Main Tasks:



1. "Be responsible for ensuring compliance with respect to BASF's license to operate in your area of responsibility(ies). Compliance, in accordance with the BASF Code of Conduct means adherence to: (1) applicable laws and regulations, (2) internal guidelines and policies, and (3) ethical business practices. You will keep the Managing Director informed of any and all matters concerning or impacting Compliance from time to time."

Leadership:



+ Lead the supply chain team in G-ECO India to achieve defined business targets.
+ Coach and develop the team based on the development needs and performance evaluation.
+ Improve the supply chain capability, reliability, efficiency, and agility of the team to enable profitable business growth.

3. Supply Chain Strategy:



Devise and implement supply chain strategy which is aligned with the G-ECO business strategy and supply chain strategy.

Translate the relevant business needs to interdependent supply chain activities.

4. Supply Chain Processes:



Design and implement the end-to-end supply chain processes (Demand & Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, Purchase-To-Pay, Make-To-Inventory, Order-To-Cash).

Collaborate closely with the relevant business stakeholders to ensure smooth information flows and logistics flows of all types of materials, and to respond effectively and efficiently to customer needs.
Move from manual-based operations to system-based and implement the digitalization roadmap. Ensure supply chain related data including master data is properly maintained in SAP. Drive for continuous improvement in processes and technology along the supply chain. Lead and organize S&OP meeting.

Performance Management

:


Design and implement a customer service performance management system to track the service levels (including delivery capability and delivery reliability, NCM), as well as a supplier performance management system to manage the logistics services (including warehousing, transportation, and imports/exports). Monitor supply chain performance via KPIs, identify potential drawbacks, take corrective measures, and drive continuous improvement. Establish partnership relationship with selected customers/distributors/suppliers/tollers.

Cost Management

:

Optimize service levels and logistics costs, with full regulatory compliance. Develop annual cost budget plan. Proactively look for efficiency gains, operational excellence, and cost savings opportunities to contribute to the company's profitability and a sustainable competitive position for BASF.
7.

Inventory Management

:


Establish and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock level to fulfil customers' needs, at optimal warehousing cost and working capital cost. Manage dysfunctional and slow-moving stock proactively to minimize working capital cost and avoid inventory scrapping.

8.

Risk Management

:


Identify and assess all potential risks in the supply chain. Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Monitor risks and measures and review overall risk management on a regular basis.

9.

Collaboration

: Maintain strongly collaborative working relationship with:


Internal business partners: Key Account Management, Marketing, Production, Customization, QM/QC, Controlling, Procurement, Supply Chain Platform, EHS, Site Management, EC supply chain in other countries/regions, other ODs who are EC's suppliers, platforms, shared service centres; and External business partners: suppliers, tollers, logistics service providers Exchange best practices with other supply chain organizations outside India

Job requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related fields (required); Master's degree in Business Management (preferred) Minimum 10 years of working experience in supply chain management Minimum 5 years of solid leadership experienc Sound supply chain knowledge and experience (APICS CPIM certification preferred) Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent leadership skills Able to communicate in English fluently * System/tool experience: SAP, Microsoft Office, Dashboard, AI
