The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

To Coordinate with country and group teams to ensure regulatory metrics (EAD, RWA, ECL, etc) are intact as expectation for stress testing consumption. Take responsibility and deliver the data as required.

BAU Change Management

  • Efficiently gather data requirements from on-boarded countries and GROUP to STHS platform or change request from BAU team with impact analysis and implementing across platforms (STHS, SSPLICE, etc).
  • Coordinate the requirements with Technology team and ensure requirements are aligned from BRD to DRD.
  • Perform data acceptance testing and UAT support with country team from defect tracking to closure.
BAU Support and Queries (Q&A and Trend Analysis, etc)

To BAU adhoc data queries from various countries (GROUP, HK, TH, RUBIK GCNA, SG) that are already on-boarded in the STHS platform to support their regulatory stress-test run (BOE, ICAAP, MAS, etc).

  • Facilitates trainings / workshops in order for new countries to be on boarded in the platform would be familiarized on how data is getting prepared in STHS for Stress Testing.
  • Suggests data solutions to cater to countries data requirement.
  • Coordinate the requirements with Technology team and ensure requirements are aligned from BRD to DRD.
  • Perform data acceptance testing and UAT support with country team from defect tracking to closure.

  • Low occurrence of operating incidents in production environment due to functional issues.
  • Efficient BA management of change requests to project scope.
Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in at least 2 days of volunteering per year.
  • Participate in engagement activities conducted in GBS.
  • Be motivated and actively engage in activities like innovation and automation initiatives.
  • To hold assigned roles of First Aider / Fire Warden / ADCC as appropriate and discharge the expected responsibilities.
Risk Data Hub

Risk Hub\xe2\x80\x99s primary responsibilities include Data Sourcing and Maintenance of Risk data. This involves a set of data wrangling activities - gathering, transforming, mapping, building business views and automation of sourcing processes that would help enrich the quality of data and make it appropriate for the downstream purposes such as analytics, reporting and visualization.

Strategy
  • Help to ensure appropriate BAU controls being established and deployed effectively in GBS.
  • Work with partner teams to create and build next generation data products and analytics solutions.
  • Assess problem statements and propose potential solutions by advocating and enabling data-driven analytics.
  • Conduct thorough validation and data quality checks to ensure accurate and value adding solutions being delivered.
  • Wider knowledge in Financial and Management view of bank.
  • Knowledge in Financial systems like, MRC, BPC, Financial Analytics, Aspire and PSGL is required.
Business
  • Work collaboratively with line manager support covering a wide range of stakeholders, across all seniority levels, to address urgent and strategic Finance management needs.
  • Coordinate with ERM teams such as Stress Testing, ASPIRE, Product controls and Finance Modelling to establish how existing results / analytics or processes can be leveraged.
Processes
  • Provide expertise in migrating PoC projects to productionise in collaboration with various teams.

  • Identify, assess, monitor and mitigating risks to the Group relevant to Data Quality.

  • Ensure the adherence to Group BCBS 239 standard when appropriate.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with technical degree preferred (Finance, statistics, mathematics, computer science, etc).
  • 10 years of experience in Risk domain.
  • Self-motivated person with strong stakeholder management skills, a high level of personal responsibility and a desire to excel consistently.
  • To innovate and bring in changes which helps the overall performance of the team.
  • To automate and reduce manual interventions in the current process.
  • Strong knowledge in Risk metrics (RWA, EAD, EL, LGD, etc).
  • Strong decision-making skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work in a global team.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels (i.e. colleagues to senior management) and situations (i.e. one-on-one to presentations).
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent analytical, logical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in handling Finance data and best practices in data management.
  • Extensive knowledge in SAS, Excel Automation and TABLEAU is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience on Financial and Management reporting is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to advanced machine learning methodologies is a plus.
  • Self motivated and pro active.
General Skill Set
  • Experience in team admin tasks / cost controller / project accountant role with familiarity to SCB project management standards / tools would be a distinct advantage.
  • Awareness of trading environment, macroeconomic fundamentals, market moves and potential impact on exposures.
  • Working knowledge of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s businesses, governance structure and approach to risk management.
  • Expertise in programming language is not required but good to have.
  • Knowledge about Finance and various business products.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge in MS Excel, SAS.
  • Strong knowledge in Data Analytics.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to work in a global team.
  • Experience in Agile framework.
