: Senior Manager, Compliance - Stock Broking



Role Overview:



The Senior Manager, Compliance will be a senior member of the Compliance function for the stock

broking business, responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and execution of the

compliance framework. This role involves advising business and product teams, managing regulatory

engagements, ensuring timely implementation of SEBI/Exchange/Depository guidelines, and

strengthening the compliance control environment. The Senior Manager will also act as a key liaison

between internal stakeholders and regulators, ensuring a culture of integrity, accountability, and

regulatory excellence.



Key Responsibilities:



Provide strategic advisory support to business, product, legal, risk, and audit teams on

regulatory and compliance matters impacting stock broking activities.

Monitor developments in SEBI, NSE, BSE, CDSL, NSDL, and other applicable regulatory

frameworks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Conduct gap analysis of new/revised guidelines and oversee implementation of necessary

compliance measures across processes and products.

Review and sign off on new product features and platform enhancements, ensuring

adherence to regulatory requirements and control effectiveness.

Lead the preparation and handling of regulatory inspections, inquiries, and ensure accurate

and timely submissions.

Develop and deliver compliance training programs, serving as a subject matter expert and

primary point of contact for compliance queries from staff.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on key compliance risks, emerging issues, and

required escalations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and exchanges to foster transparent

and constructive engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:



10-12 years of experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles within stock broking,

depositories, or capital markets.

In-depth knowledge of SEBI regulations, exchange rules, and regulatory frameworks

governing stock broking.

Proven expertise in handling regulatory audits, inspections, and reporting obligations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex regulatory

issues.

Demonstrated leadership in driving compliance initiatives, projects, and cross-functional

coordination.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence at senior

levels.

High ethical standards and commitment to fostering a culture of compliance.
