Position Summary
We are searching for an experienced and driven Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead successful teams within our Digital Commerce Platforms group. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and operational direction for our enterprise eCommerce solutions. You'll play a pivotal role in driving architecture decisions, overseeing development cycles, and empowering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-focused digital products.
You will work together with various teams to establish strategies, achieve roadmap objectives, and advocate for standard methodologies in software development. Your ability to build and mentor strong technical teams while maintaining a hands-on approach will be critical to our success.
What You'll Do

• Lead a team of skilled software engineers and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions in a fast-paced Agile/SAFe environment.
• Guide the team in developing robust Java-based applications using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Mentor and coach team members, develop career, and champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Partner with product owners to translate business needs into technical strategies, roadmaps, and actionable development plans.
• Establish standards for design, development, testing, and documentation across the engineering team.
• Collaborate across business units to align on technical approaches, improve code reuse, and share established methods.
• Represent the team in multi-functional meetings, technical forums, and customer discussions.
• Drive performance management, resource planning, and recruitment strategies for a growing engineering team.
• Identify technical risks and create proactive strategies to mitigate them.
• Advocate for a customer-first approach while upholding engineering excellence and operational efficiency.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years leading high-impact development teams.
• Proven success delivering enterprise-grade applications in cloud or distributed systems environments.
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data modeling, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Agile/SCRUM or SAFe development methodologies.
• A passion for coaching and mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and geographies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset--ready to learn, adapt, and lead through change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and revenue optimization strategies.
• Experience with AI/ML tools, particularly generative AI solutions.
