Strategic Risk Management and Governance team covers a wide spectrum of Enterprise level activities which include, risk appetite setting, portfolio analytics, stress scenario analysis, risk identification, enterprise risk management framework management and overall organisational governance of policies.
To drive, manage and embed our vision, we will need to continue to evolve our risk management approach and risk and control simplification. The team is looking to recruit an individual who will be able to support the risk interpretation and presentation capabilities of the team. The individual should be proactive and keen to learn but does not necessarily need to have a long history in risk management where there are applicable transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities Strategy
Provide support to senior management on drafting papers and presentations for regulators, SC Bank or Group risk committee
Business
Responsible for monitoring the Group Risk Appetite and Entity Risk Appetite (ERAA)
Independently run the monthly ERAA reporting process and work with a wide range of stakeholders
Preparing presentations for senior level risk committees
Using a broad experience of risk to perform deep dives, segmentation and what-if analysis
Carry out review and challenge of risk appetite thresholds and portfolio level limits
Assist with analysis as and when requested for Group level committee papers.
Support the Group's change initiatives for an automated RA reporting solution
Support the development of analytical solutions to assess concentrations, correlations and emerging risks in the portfolio;

Qualifications
7-10 years of experience in a risk related role including banking, consultancy or ratings agency
Excellent presentational skills and ability to synthesize information, preparing packs for senior level presentations
Prior experience in risk management/ analysis or financial institutions credit analysis is highly desirable
Experience and knowledge of Risk Appetite development and risk assessment and/or experience of a range of risk types both financial and non-financial
Excellent inter-personal skills; comfortable in building relationships across teams, with outstanding written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
