Overview

• 
  GBS Digital Factory is the digital transformation engine for PepsiCo that sits within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization. It focuses on the re-imagination and digitization of capabilities, processes, services, and reporting for the Enterprise through the design, development, and deployment of scalable digital products and solutions. GBS Digital Factory works with business, sectors, markets, and regions, leveraging a core set of integrated technologies, such as AI, ML, RPA, Conversational AI.

  As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will deploy machine learning models into production and monitor the performance, accuracy, and evolution of them to enable optimal digital product performance. You will be providing input into machine learning architectural design, in addition to writing and testing application code. You will collaborate with Data Engineers to identify, extract, and transform the data needed to feed machine learning models and work alongside Product Designers and other Developers and Engineers to bring digital products to life. You will also be responsible for driving adoption of machine learning techniques and solutions amongst PODs during digital product design and build.

  Decides feasibility of implementing ML solutions within digital capabilities
• 
  Consults with Product Designers to translate business objectives / requirements into machine learning approaches
• 
  Consults with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to align on data delivery processes and channels required for ML tools / solutions
• 
  Executes the design, development, testing and deployment of machine learning models to support digital capabilities
• 
  Executes post-production activities, including monitoring data and model performance, running A/B tests, and maintaining software systems
• 
  Executes the development of guidelines and documentation outlining best practices for ML solution development, staying up to date on the latest innovations and best practices in machine learning engineering
• 
  Informs technical and non-technical stakeholders on machine learning processes and development progress; escalates risks and issues as required to leadership for resolution

• 
  9-11 years overall experience; 4+ years relevant experience with machine learning, data science and data engineering techniques, tools and programming
• 
  Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related data-driven field preferred
• 
  Strong program development skills using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, R, C++) and database querying languages (e.g., SQL)
• 
  Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• 
  Experience working with tools, such as TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn, OpenCV, or Spacy
• 
  Experience with distributed algorithms (Map-Reduce, MPI)
• 
  Experience with digital transformation or digital product development involving multiple technologies preferred
•
