Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Construction Quality Lead ensures high-quality outcomes for assigned construction units by developing, implementing, and monitoring unit-specific Quality Management Systems in alignment with ISO standards, corporate policies, and project requirements. They support continuous improvement of the Construction Quality Management System, oversee the development and review of key quality assurance and inspection documents, statutory requirements and provide technical inputs on quality control for equipment/material specifications. The role also involves leading inspection management, compliance, and audit activities, integrating risk management within project frameworks, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and developing the quality assurance team to enhance performance and expertise.
Responsibilities:
Construction Quality Lead-PETCHEM
Quality Management:
Ensure high-quality outcomes for assigned units by ensuring implementation and monitoring of unit-specific Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO standards, corporate policies, and project requirements.
Support the continuous improvement of the Construction Quality Management System by providing feedback and recommendations based on unit-specific needs and industry best practices.
Technical Documentation and Engineering Oversight:
Ensure project requirements are met by leading the development and review of unit-specific quality assurance and inspection documents, including quality assurance plans, inspection & test plans, and construction procedures.
Lead the conduction of technical integrity checks related to Quality Assurance/Control and Inspection of project deliverables for assigned units.
Identify and address potential quality issues within assigned units by reviewing engineering designs and specifications before construction begins.
Material Inspection Management:
Provide technical inputs on quality assurance/control and inspection for equipment/material specifications within assigned units.
Ensure compliance with project requirements by leading the planning and review of daily inspection requests for assigned units and monitoring the inspections of critical incoming materials and equipment.
Ensuring conformity to Purchase Orders, relevant codes, standards, and specifications by leading the certification of incoming materials for assigned units.
Statutory Compliance & Audit Assurance:
Ensure alignment with project and corporate quality goals. by monitoring unit-specific QMS activities.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team by leading regular audits of contractors, providing feedback and Quality Ratings for assigned units.
Oversee the implementation of corrective actions for non-conformities identified within assigned units and ensure effective resolution to prevent recurrence.
Provide technical inputs for fulfilment of statutory requirement like IBR, PESO and inspection for IBR equipment/material within assigned units.
Risk Management:
Integrate construction quality risks specific to assigned units into the overall project risk management framework by providing inputs to the Project team.
Ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on project outcomes by develop and monitoring risk mitigation plans related to construction quality issues within assigned units.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Lead collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the construction lifecycle, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor the Quality team, Inspectors, and Surveyors, to enhance their performance and support strategic quality goals.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Construction QA/QC training program to build team skills, elevate expertise, and promote a culture of quality excellence.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
15-20 years of relevant work experience, including at least 7 years in a similar role within a large or mid-sized organization, with proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in the Hydrocarbon sector.
Understanding of International & national Codes and Standards like API 1104, B31.3, ASME SEC II, SEC V, SECVIII, SEC IX, ISO-9000, NACE, ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, BIS & BS code.
NDT Level III / II in RT / UT
