To oversees project financials, cost control, contract administration, and risk management from project start to finish, managing teams, negotiating contracts, preparing BOQs, cost estimates, budgets, variations, claims, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance, blending strategic financial guidance with deep construction knowledge for commercial & residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost & Budget Management:
Develop cost plans, budgets, forecasts; monitor expenses, identify savings, and ensure projects stay within financial limits.
Contract & Procurement:
Prepare tender/contract docs (BOQs), negotiate terms with clients/subcontractors, manage variations, claims, and payments.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare detailed cost reports, financial analyses, and progress reports for senior management and clients.
Team Leadership:
Supervise junior QS staff, mentor teams, and provide strategic commercial advice.
Risk & Compliance:
Identify contractual risks, ensure legal compliance, and provide expert advice on procurement and risk mitigation.
Project Support:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure cost-effective delivery.
Core Focus:
Translate design into constructability and affordability, acting as a strategic partner for financial success and project efficiency.
