Job Description

Develop and execute the plant's procurement strategy aligned with business goals. Forecast material requirements based on production plans and project demands. Ensure availability of direct and indirect materials without interruptions. Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for materials, equipment, and services. Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and SLAs with vendors. Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or timelines. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to achieve best procurement terms. Ensure cross-functional coordination with production, maintenance, finance, and stores. Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and statutory compliance. Maintain accurate records of purchases, approvals, and inventory reconciliation. Prepare regular reports on purchase costs, savings, procurement status, and vendor performance for management review.
