Job Purpose/Objective



Manage and execute varied nature of projects (Infrastructure,buildings,land side marine projects) from Design conception to final commissioning and handover.





Key responsibilities

GENERAL

Manage project execution and delivery of infrastructure, land side marine developments and buildings. Planning, budgeting, technical compliance, and project delivery for DPW business units and Stakeholders. Delivering all projects on time, within budget and quality as per agreed scope of works. Responsible for implementing sustainability measures and energy efficient solutions in new and retrofit projects. Manage consultants and contractors towards compliance of project scope and adherence to authority regulations, health and safety standards.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Manage and deliver projects from Concept design phase to project completion and handing over. Deliver projects as per the process and procedures defined in Project Implementation Manual. Strategize schedule for project delivery as per end user and operations requirement. Proactively identify project risk and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project stake holders.

PROJECT SUPPORT

Support DPW Project Managers in successful delivery of projects by managing Electrical scope of works. Shared accountability in planning, design management and construction management for Electrical works in all projects. Roles & Responsibilities in Project Management & Project Support functions are as follows:

PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE

Defining project requirements in collaboration with project stakeholders Manage consultants and provide technical support for preparation of tender documents. Review tender documentation prepared by consultants to comply with project & authority requirement. Collaborate with internal teams (civil & procurement) and prepare tender documents for design & build contracts. Conduct Value Engineering workshops and be responsible for optimization of design. Provide the required technical support to the procurement process for tendering of contracts. Review and evaluate the technical submission from bidders and assist in conducting bidder conferences. Collaborate with procurement team to assist in evaluating commercial offers in comparison with market rates.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE

Project management and delivery of Electrical scope for infrastructure and buildings including: Manage all aspects of project construction to ensure delivery on time, on budget and quality as per the agreed scope of works. Manage a project team of consultants and contractors towards project completion as per contract. Shared accountability of managing construction contracts in coordination with procurement and internal teams from the perspective of project scope, payments and claims. Administer overall project progress, monitor the program, track changes and status reporting to management. Actively involve in final testing & commissioning activities to ensure meeting performance criteria. Ensure all project deliverables have been verified and completed.

OTHER TASKS

Responsible to Identify and Evaluate emerging technology & new products in Electrical and choose suitable products to be implemented in projects. Provide necessary support to end-users during the defect's liability period. Create and maintain general and performance specification for all Electrical equipment. Provide ad-hoc support to Facilities management team for process improvement, retrofit projects and any other technical support. Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's principles, values and culture; ensuring highest level of safety is applied in all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES





Skills and Competencies



Qualifications:



First Class bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Experience:



7 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Site Supervision & contracts administration for a variety of projects. Commissioning management for Electrical systems. Preparation of Employers Requirement,Bill of quantities & Tender Documentation for MEP scope of works.
