The Role:

Manage, lead, and streamline the procurement function across all categories like seeds, crop care and farm implements Develop and execute demand planning strategies to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with business needs. Build processes and systems for effective procurement, inventory management, logistics, and Supply Chain Management. Collaborate with stakeholders across AgroStar and ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Continuously review procurement processes for potential improvements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and product development teams, to align procurement strategies with business goals. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Vendors. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications

we look for:

10+ years of experience handling procurement of 200cr + spend in a large assortment of retail SKUs, in the Crop Protection industry, with Bachelors/Masters in a relevant field. Strong experience in demand planning, with the ability to forecast accurately and align procurement with business needs. Proficiency in MS Excel and BigQuery for data management and analysis. Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, supply chain management, logistics, and operations within the Crop Protection industry. Great stakeholder management skills, exceptional interpersonal & negotiation skills, along with excellent networking & relationship management skills. Strong Business & financial acumen, ability to strategize, and Ability to work across functions, deep dive & execute.
