Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Engineering review, Testing, FAT, commissioning.
• Thorough skill of all metering , scheme, configuration, communication, networking, data handling of various make Meters etc.
• Good Knowledge of Metering regulations and standards for Energy Business.
• Thorough understanding and know how of various metering approvals and processes for different STU, CTU, Regulators for power evacuation and billing.
• Understanding philosophy, application and technology for Metering, CT, VT, CVTs and Electrical Protection
• Day-to-day coordination of all Metering and data related issues, internally as well as with all stake holders OEM, Regulators, CTUs, STUs etc.
• Troubleshooting of all issues and support to site team on real time basis for testing, commissioning, and O&M issues.
• Diagnosis, RCA, and implementation of CAPA for Metering.
• Develop team at HO and site for skill enhancement, managerial aspects.
• Planning of Metering scheme, requirements, setting, coordination, configuration during Engineering design, Commissioning stage.
• Monitoring & reviewing Periodic testing of Metering scheme, Meters.
• Database & Record maintenance with analytics for Testing and maintaining of Metering system and data for all stations & CCR.
• To conduct time to time audits of all substations.
• Optimize the available inventory and procure new inventories as per need for the allocated area.
• Ensure quality assurance, safety and environment standards by way of well-defined review mechanism.
• To ensure the healthiness of all substation Metering, communication scheme and grid / SLDC / ALDC etc, and OEM coordination for the issues and resolution.
• Maintain database for Metering and relevant calculations as per guidelines
• Maintaining relation and update with all related regulators, CTUs, STUs, SLDCs, RLDCs for Grid related matters.
• Study application of Metering system, equipment, networking, database and its monitoring.
• Support for scheduled testing of metering, CT, PT, CVT and associated system as per regulation.
• Support for coordination with STU/CTU/LDC/RPC for testing and inspection of metering system and equipment.
• Support for testing and inspection of meters, CT, VT, and CVT at factory
• Daily monitoring of Metering data and preparing required reports / documents as per guidelines.
• Training and Guide team for skill enhancement, Analysis, resolve issues and take help from other team, resources, administration on case-to-case basis.
• Maintain the inventory at optimum level.
• Ensure zero mal-operation and human error.
• Implementation of BPTs like IMS / DISHA / Statutory AUDIT/ LAM-SAP etc.
• Technology implementation in business to become more effective and economical.
• Compliance of statutory requirements and represent on behalf of the organization as per requirement.
• Bench marking of the O&M, RCA, FMEA and testing practices.
• Respond to emergency contingencies and disaster management.
• Ensure longevity of asset.
• Coordination with Internal, various government authorities, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Develop team for above aspects.
• Travelling to various site, vendors factory, regulators offices etc. as per requirements

Qualifications:
BE / B. Tech - Electrical Engg.
Experience - 8 - 12 Years
