Job Description

The Senior Manager will lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of overhead conveyor systems within the manufacturing unit, while also overseeing their maintenance and operational reliability. This role is critical to enhancing material flow efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting production scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Conveyor System Development

Design and implement overhead conveyor systems tailored to production needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate conveyors into existing layouts. Evaluate and select vendors, technologies, and automation solutions. Lead installation, commissioning, and performance testing of new systems.
Maintenance & Reliability

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in conveyor systems. Ensure minimal downtime through rapid response and root cause analysis. Maintain documentation of maintenance schedules, incidents, and performance metrics.
Leadership & Compliance

Manage a team of engineers and technicians for both development and maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and internal policies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred) Extensive experience in conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance Strong understanding of automation, controls, and material handling systems Proficiency in CAD tools and CMMS platforms Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills

Experience in automotive, electronics, or FMCG manufacturing environments Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies and smart factory concepts Certifications in TPM, Lean Maintenance, or Six Sigma
