Basic Functions/ Job Responsibility




Business Research knowledge + Thorough understanding of research processes, hypothesis-based thinking, scenario-based storytelling, quantitative modelling and qualitative analysis
+ Leverage GenAI tools to find, summarize, and generate first-level content
+ In-depth research capabilities in industry, market, and competitive analysis, market sizing, and benchmarking and solid experience in designing and analysing surveys
+ Strong ability to deliver projects on-time, in-budget, and with value delivered as per expectations
Stakeholder Engagement + Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Nasscom's approach / views on industry and thought leadership
+ Drive discussions and agenda at leadership levels and present industry perspectives in external forums
Strategic thinking + Solid skills in understanding the big picture (from Tech industry) standpoint and build narratives which are data backed and insightful
+ High-impact business writing for diverse readership - corporates' leaders and their communications departments, policymakers, students/academia, startups, investors, advisory firms
Domain Knowledge + Expertise in or ability to distil the implications of macro-economic or geo-economic trends for the Indian tech industry or In-depth knowledge of India's technology sector and its core services, ER&D, BPM, GCC, SME, software products segments
+ Ability to functionally understand and translate emerging technology trends into viable ideas for business thought leadership
Learning agility + Proven expertise in managing third-party partners, preferably in research projects and survey execution, such as consulting partners, survey vendors
+ Ability to accept steep learning curves and operate in an environment with fast-changing prioritization

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience




High-performing MBA or master's graduate in fields of business management, strategy, economics, technology, or engineering Minimum 12 years of prior experience in technology and business research and consulting. Extensive knowledge of major proprietary research databases Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office tools Experience with creative representation of insights and effective story-telling, along with public speaking capabilities Understanding of research dissemination modalities * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
