Role Overview
The Senior Manager - Modern Trade Sales will lead Buckaroo's modern trade business across PAN India. This role requires deep experience in footwear or fashion retail, strong key account management capabilities, and end-to-end ownership of modern trade performance including listings, sell-through, visibility, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities1. Modern Trade Strategy & Business Growth
Define and execute the modern trade sales strategy in line with brand and revenue goals.
Drive growth across national and regional modern trade accounts.
Plan annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for modern trade channels.
2. Key Account & Buyer Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with modern trade buyers and category managers.
Manage listings, range selection, planograms, and seasonal launches.
Lead commercial negotiations including margins, promotions, schemes, and visibility support.
3. Sales Execution & Performance Monitoring
Track primary and secondary sales, sell-through, and stock rotation at store level.
Ensure timely order execution, billing, dispatch, and replenishment.
Analyze SKU-wise and account-wise performance and take corrective actions.
4. Trade Marketing & In-Store Visibility
Plan and execute in-store activations, promotions, and visual merchandising initiatives.
Coordinate with marketing and VM teams to ensure brand consistency at modern trade outlets.
Maximize shelf presence, signage, and promotional effectiveness.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
Work closely with supply chain, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure stock availability.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
Monitor returns, claims, and damages in coordination with internal teams.
6. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Track competitor activity, pricing, and trends in modern trade footwear retail.
Provide insights on product performance, pricing, and consumer preferences.
Prepare structured MIS, forecasts, and business reviews for management.
7. Team Leadership
Lead and guide modern trade sales executives / merchandisers.
Set clear KRAs and monitor execution on-ground.
Build a performance-driven, accountable sales culture.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of modern trade operations in footwear or fashion retail.
Proven key account and buyer management expertise.
Excellent negotiation, planning, and execution skills.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Experience in trade marketing and in-store execution.
Educational & Experience Requirements
Graduate / MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
7-12 years of experience
in Modern Trade Sales, preferably in footwear or lifestyle brands.
Hands-on experience managing national and regional modern trade accounts.
Working Days:
Monday to Saturday: 9hrs within 9:00 AM -7:30 PM (Flexible Working Hours)| 2nd & 4th Saturday off
