We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Design Engineer with 15+ years of expertise to lead the design, planning, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of MEP design standards, codes, and best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile projects for India and abroad with focus on transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

MEP Design: + Lead the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various types of buildings and infrastructure projects.
+ Ensure that designs meet client specifications, local building codes, and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, Building Codes, IECs etc.).
+ Hands on experience in design of systems coming in MEP.
+ Providing guidance on design processes and technical challenges.
Project Management: + Collaborate with project managers and other design professionals to define project requirements and ensure that design milestones are met.
+ Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
+ Coordinate the integration of MEP systems with other architectural and structural disciplines.
Technical Expertise: + Develop conceptual and detailed designs for HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and other MEP systems.
+ Perform system load calculations, energy analysis, and ensure compliance with sustainability and energy efficiency standards.
+ Select equipment, materials, and systems, and prepare technical specifications and procurement packages.
+ Review vendor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design documents.
+ Preparing the bidding BOQs.
+ Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and supporting documentation for regulatory approvals.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance design efficiency and quality.

Client and Stakeholder Communication: + Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional MEP designs.
+ Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns or changes in design scope.
+ Assist with procurement and tendering processes for MEP components, ensuring the best value for the client.
+ Getting the designs approved from client / consultants.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical. Experience: 15 years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role. Technical Skills: + Advanced knowledge of MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Dialux, etc.).
+ Expertise in designing HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and related MEP systems.
+ Strong understanding of local and international design codes and standards.
+ Experience with energy modeling and sustainable building design practices.
Project Management: Proven track record in managing complex projects from concept to completion, including budget and schedule management. Leadership: Ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members effectively. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges. Attention to Detail: A high level of precision and care in the preparation of design documents and technical specifications.
