MBA in Hospitality / Hotel Management PG Diploma in Hotel Management MBA in General Management / Operations / Finance Other recognized hospitality or healthcare management qualifications supported with ample experience will also be considered

Experience



Minimum 10 years of experience in the hospitality or healthcare sector (resorts, wellness resorts, hospitals) Direct experience in managing an Ayurveda hospital, wellness retreat, or integrative healthcare facility is strongly preferred Prior experience in multi-department operations, compliance, and accreditation management will be an advantage

Role Overview



The Senior / Manager - Operations will be responsible for the end-to-end operational management of a 25-bed accredited Ayurveda hospital, ensuring clinical support, service excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and smooth coordination across all departments.

The role involves dual reporting:

To the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for all medical, clinical, and therapy-related compliance To Management for overall business, operational, and administrative performance
The role will also support pre-opening activities, scale-up initiatives, and future expansions.

Key Responsibilities



1. Overall Hospital Operations



Ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations of the Ayurveda hospital. Act as the central operational coordinator across medical, therapy, administrative, and support functions, while establishing and enforcing SOPs, workflows, and service standards. Oversee pre-opening activities, operational stabilization, and continuous post-opening improvements.

2. Medical & Clinical Operations Support (Reporting to CMO)



Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, NABH/AYUSH standards, and ethical medical practices. Provide comprehensive non-clinical operational support to Ayurveda doctors, medical officers, and nursing teams, ensuring seamless coordination between diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy delivery.

3. Ayurveda Therapy & Wellness Services



Oversee the Ayurveda Therapy Department, including Panchakarma and allied treatments, ensuring adequate staffing, scheduling, hygiene, and service quality. Maintain therapy SOPs, patient safety protocols, and documentation standards, and coordinate therapy plans with doctors and patient services teams.

4. Human Resources & Staffing



Lead manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention across all departments, including medical, therapy, nursing, housekeeping, F&B, front office, and administration. Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance management, while coordinating ongoing staff training on SOPs, service quality, safety, and compliance.

5. Administration & Office Management



Supervise hospital administration, front office operations, billing coordination, and records management. Ensure smooth patient admission, discharge, and documentation processes, manage vendors and contracts, oversee inventory systems, and monitor IT systems, MIS reporting, and operational dashboards.

6. Housekeeping & Facility Management



Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control throughout the facility. Oversee housekeeping schedules, laundry, waste management, and general upkeep, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety norms, and coordinating preventive maintenance and facility audits.

7. Kitchen, Dietetics & F&B Operations



Manage hospital kitchen and F&B operations, including therapeutic diets, patient meals, and staff food services. Ensure strict compliance with prescribed medical diets, hygiene, and food safety standards, while overseeing procurement, cost control, and kitchen staff management.

8. Finance, Budgeting & P&L Management



Prepare and manage annual budgets and operational cost plans, monitor revenues and expenses, and ensure financial sustainability. Exercise cost control without compromising quality of care, and coordinate with the accounts team on billing accuracy, audits, and financial reporting.

9. Marketing, Sales & Patient Experience



Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to support patient acquisition, wellness programs, and retreat offerings. Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction through service excellence, manage feedback and escalations effectively, and support branding and outreach initiatives aligned with the hospital's values.

10. Certification, Accreditation & Compliance



Ensure compliance with NABH/AYUSH accreditation standards, local health authority regulations, labour laws, and statutory requirements. Coordinate audits, inspections, documentation, and renewals, and maintain robust compliance records with timely corrective action plans.
