Job overview and responsibilities
The Sr Manager of Logistics Services oversees a diverse team of supply chain professionals supporting the operational processes and business objectives of United's Logistics Services department. The Sr Manager is responsible to coordinate closely with stateside business leaders to ensure continuous alignment with strategic objectives and departmental priorities across a portfolio of functions (materials, tooling, warehousing, transportation). The Sr Manager oversees a team of India based analysts that work to advance initiatives within Logistics Services that improve process adherence, accuracy, and delivery to maintenance customers.

• Ensure continued success of United's top reliability and retrofit projects through daily oversight of the EA material planning process
• Assist the team with prioritization of EAs to ensure continuous focus on critical work
• Use exception management to identify material plans that are off track and require rework
• Accomplish readiness reporting of top EA projects for leadership consumption
• Support the warehousing & distribution team by completing ad-hoc monitoring of performance, identifying areas of opportunity, gathering requirements from the operations, carrying out root cause analysis, and developing monitoring / report outs
• Lead automated monitoring tool development as well as the training / change management necessary for station storekeepers and leadership to use the tools
• Oversee the optimization of tooling data monitoring and process management
• Manage existing tooling monitoring objects and devices, as well as develop new ones by integrating various technologies like Power BI and Foundry
• Support ad-hoc intelligence & insights requests, manage small projects, and identify new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiencies in the Aircraft Tooling org
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decision-making is supported across the Tooling organization
• Oversee 3rd shift US support of material requests within United's base maintenance operations worldwide
• Ensure the formulation of effective parts procurement solutions and provide good communication to maintenance customers
• Provide on-site support as needed at various maintenance locations to support station start ups, special projects, and resource balancing
• Analyze base maintenance material trends and translate those into understandable insights to implement optimization within the base material operation
• Leverage data to drive efficient process changes & initiatives within United's transportation network that ensure on-time delivery of all shipments in compliance with SLAs
• Collaborate effectively with Technical Operations, Procurement, and Airport Operations to resolve logistics issues and align on service expectations

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Business, technical, aviation or related discipline
• 8 years experience in fields of the Supply Chain, Airline, Manufacturing, or other technical or scientific field
• Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain operations and Management
• Strong Leadership, coaching and communication skills
• Advanced powerpoint skills, ability to extract a meaningful story and and format for leadership consumption
• Experience managing large data sets and using data extraction tools and techniques
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Master's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other technical or scientific field
• 5+ years as an organizational leader
• Knowledge of, and experience in, the Aerospace or Airline industry
• Advanced data analytics, e.g., SQL, Python
• Formal Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement methodologies
