Job Summary :
The Senior Manager of IT handles the overall direction, strategy, and execution of the IT department within Jos Alukkas Group.
This includes ensuring that IT systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and efficient, while also supporting the business's strategic goals and growth plans.
The Senior Manager will also oversee the IT budget, manage IT personnel, and stay abreast of industry trends and technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement the IT strategic plan aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the retail business.
Ensure IT infrastructure and systems are scalable and capable of supporting future growth.
IT Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.
Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data.
Monitor and improve IT performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Monitor IT spending and identify areas for cost savings.
People Management:
Hire, train, and manage the IT staff, providing leadership and guidance.
Evaluate IT staff performance and provide feedback and development opportunities.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the IT department.
Project Management:
Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Vendor Management:
Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
Ensure vendors meet performance and service level agreements.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data privacy laws.
Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect IT systems and data.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate IT matters effectively to all stakeholders, including senior management and other departments.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's / Master degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Overall experience of 10 years in IT industry.
Minimum 6 years of experience in retail industry, experience in commodity based and commercial business is good to have.
Minimum 3 years of extensive experience in IT management and leadership roles, preferably in a retail environment.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage budgets, projects, and people effectively.
Strategic Planning, Budget Management, Project Management, People Management, Technical Leadership, Communication, Problem Solving, Data Analysis, Security, and Compliance.
Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, and other emerging technologies is a plus. Microsoft Dynamics 365, SCM, Zoho CRM and HR Systems is a Plus.
