The role combines
strategic HR partnership
with
strong operational leadership
, ensuring effective recruitment, workforce stability, statutory compliance, and readiness for NABH assessments.
This position is not a learning role. Candidates must have prior NABH-compliant hospital HR experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment for doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and administrative personnel
Prepare and update job descriptions; manage job postings and interview coordination
Conduct and oversee
background verification and credentialing
, especially for clinical staff
Plan and conduct structured induction and orientation programs
2. HR Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, leave, and personnel files
Supervise payroll processing and coordinate with Finance for timely salary disbursement
Ensure implementation of HR policies, hospital rules, and code of conduct
Handle appointment letters, confirmations, transfers, resignations, and exit processes
3. Employee Relations & Workforce Welfare
Foster a positive, respectful, and disciplined work culture across departments
Address employee grievances and manage conflict resolution fairly and confidentially
Plan and implement staff welfare, engagement, and retention initiatives
Ensure punctuality, discipline, and ethical conduct while being sensitive to clinical operations
4. NABH Compliance & Statutory Documentation (Critical Role Requirement)
Own and manage HR-related NABH standards and documentation (Chapter 5)
Ensure readiness for
NABH assessments, surveillance audits, and renewals
Maintain HR documentation for labour inspections, audits, and hospital licensing
Ensure compliance with labour laws, ESI, PF, Gratuity, and other statutory requirements
Liaise with NABH assessors, government authorities, auditors, and external consultants
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and sensitive hospital information
5. Performance Management & Training
Design and manage performance appraisal systems for hospital staff
Identify training needs and coordinate mandatory and role-based training programs
Partner with department heads on goal-setting, evaluations, and workforce planning
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 6-8 years of HR experience in a hospital
Hands-on experience with NABH compliance is mandatory
labour inspections, statutory audits, and healthcare compliance
Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, MS Office, and documentation management
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and manage sensitive situations calmly
Candidates without prior NABH-compliant hospital HR experience will not be considered.
Work Schedule
Full-time, on-site position
Availability during emergencies or critical staff issues may occasionally be required

Proven NABH-compliant hospital HR experience is a prerequisite for this salary band
