Our fundamental mission is to deliver high-quality medical services with the overall aim of enhancing the standard of public eye health and impacting lives positively.

Our dedication, compassion, and commitment are embodied in our forthcoming project - an eye hospital with a backing of 100 crores. This eye healthcare facility is planned to be a beacon of charity and goodwill, assuring free medical aid to the less privileged. One of our primary services will be the provision of free cataract surgeries.

By providing these surgeries, we aim to alleviate the heavy eye healthcare cost burden too often place on those least able to bear it. It is our heartfelt endeavour to aid approximately 50,000 -1,00,000 surgeries annually, providing them with a chance to see the world more clearly and live a fuller life.



The

Senior Manager - Human Resources

will be responsible for developing and managing a people-centric HR system that supports compassionate, ethical, and high-quality eye care services. The role ensures compliance with NABH standards, statutory labour laws, and trust governance requirements, while nurturing a committed workforce aligned with the organisation's charitable mission of preventing and treating avoidable blindness.

Responsibilities



Align HR policies and practices with the Trust's vision, charitable objectives, and patient-first values

Act as a key advisor to hospital leadership on manpower planning, staff welfare, and organizational development

Support expansion of clinical services, outreach eye camps, and community eye health programs

Ensure implementation and ongoing compliance with NABH Human Resource Management (HRM) standards, including:

o Credentialing and privileging of doctors and clinical staff

o Defined job descriptions for all categories of employees

o Structured induction and continuous training programs

Maintain HR documentation required for NABH assessments, surveillance audits, and renewals

Coordinate internal audits, corrective actions, and staff awareness programs related to NABH standards

Lead recruitment for ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, OT technicians, counsellors, outreach staff, and administrative teams

Ensure verification of qualifications, registrations, experience, and background checks as per NABH norms

Design NABH-compliant induction and orientation programs covering patient rights, safety, infection control, ethics, and hospital policies

Prepare annual training calendars aligned with NABH requirements and hospital needs

Coordinate mandatory trainings including patient safety, fire safety, infection control, biomedical waste management, POSH, and ethical conduct

Facilitate skill development and soft-skills training to enhance patient interaction and community engagement

Implement transparent and fair performance appraisal systems suitable for charitable institutions

Promote staff motivation, retention, and welfare through recognition programs and well-being initiatives

Address grievances with empathy, fairness, and confidentiality

Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory obligations (PF, ESI, gratuity, minimum wages, contract labour, etc.)

Oversee attendance, leave, payroll coordination, HR MIS, and employee records

Maintain discipline and ethical conduct consistent with trust policies and healthcare regulations

Draft, implement, and periodically review HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks aligned with NABH and Trust governance

Ensure staff awareness and adherence to hospital policies, including patient rights, code of conduct, and confidentiality

Support donor audits, government inspections, and trust reviews from an HR perspective

Plan HR deployment for eye camps, school screening programs, and rural outreach initiatives

Ensure proper staffing, training, and compliance for outreach activities

Support volunteer management and short-term project staffing, where applicable

Should Possess



Strong understanding of NABH HRM standards and healthcare compliance

Sensitivity to charitable, patient-centric, and community-focused environments

Excellent coordination, documentation, and audit-handling skills

Leadership, integrity, and strong interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, preferably with a specialisation in Human Resources or equivalent, and a minimum of 8-12 years of practical experience working in an eye hospital.
