Role Responsibilities The Data Governance specialist role is positioned with the HR Data Governance team within HR function. Data Governance is a system of decision rights and accountabilities for information-related processes, executed according to agreed-upon models which describe who can take what actions with what information, and when, under what circumstances, using what methods. Data Governance is aligned to the Privacy risk management framework to enable the Group to meet its privacy, legal, statutory and regulatory obligations. Data breaches are getting bigger now and the amount of compromised data is unfortunately on the rise across the globe and that personal information is a highly valued type of data to compromise hence HR data governance is important and more relevant now. The main responsibilities will be to support HR function to align with new Data management policy and its associated standards. The primary responsibility is to manage Data Quality as per Group Data Quality Management Standards (DQMS) & make sure the specific requirements for data domain owners (data providers) and downstream process owners (data consumers) to ensure that DQ risks are mitigated through comprehensive data documentation and robust controls. Also partner with 2LoD and CDO DQ advisory team to deliver DQ standard requirements. The specialist role will also support on Data Privacy and Transformation program by addressing the significant control gaps and reduce the risk. This role will manage and engage stakeholders effectively from regulatory, external and internal audit. Key Roles & Responsibilities Support Data governance initiatives for HR to comply with data quality, data privacy and confidentiality regulations. Partner & drive Regulatory programmes/ HR processes/ DQ remediation work driven by business/ functions that are in DQ scope effectively and efficiently to reduce and manage risk within the HR function. Ensure Quality of HR data is maintained at high level of integrity. Partnership with HR Business solutions, T&I, Data Assurance, 2LoD, CDO DQ advisory team and Metadata team to deliver all DQ Epics as per the Group DQM guidelines. Provide guidance to DPO (Data Consumer) & DDO (Data provider) for a digitised handshake to permit/acknowledge the use of data through MSV. Periodic review and maintenance of POI for Data Quality Management for HR. Business Metadata documentation in Axon including the sensitivity & criticality information for all HR applications listed in ITAM. Monitor data quality issues highlighted through results of controls/assurance mechanisms implemented in line with DQ standard. Support on DPTP treatment plan deliverables, PIA review, TPPA-engagement, Security matrix review, Records Inventory management and Data Architecture and Re-Platforming (DARP) Azure (cloud) go-live. Prepare an assessment covering documentation of all HR data across systems /applications including unstructured HR data residing across our network & vendors. Enforce Security Policy, Standards and Controls including oversight of remediation activities of HR data. Support any training and awareness initiatives relating to DataSafe. Manage audit requests and provide timely management responses to the findings, including remediation actions. Ensure controls are measured and metric provided to all relevant forums. Detail oriented with focus on structured documentation. Previous experience in Financial Services or similar essential. Minimum 10+ years of experience in HR with focus on Data Management & Data Governance. Understanding the risk and control concepts around the data management. Excellent written and oral and presentation and communications skills. Experience in writing assurance reports is an added advantage. Previous experience in Vendor Management or supply chain management is an added advantage. Work experience in HR applications, Metadata tools like Axon, Informatica DQ(BDQ) will be an added advantage. Knowledge around industry standard security control frameworks. Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation&rsquos goal. Able to get things done in a quick-paced environment. Good understanding of regulatory compliance, security, risk, and controls. Ability to collect and analyse data, establish facts, and make recommendations in written and oral form. Strong Technical skills and good understanding in Information security control domains across platforms/Applications and Data Protection. Strong interpersonal and team skills.
