We are seeking an experienced consultant to join our team who is responsible for determining value of company's assets, liabilities or equities. This role will be critical in financial planning, investment analysis and decision making.

Responsibilities:

Valuation Analysis:

Prepare month-end valuation models of illiquid asset-based finance investments under a DCF approach. The ideal candidate will have experience projecting future cash flows for senior and mezzanine debt investments, as well as modeling equity positions for whole loan portfolios. This role requires a deep understanding of capital structures, waterfall modeling, and scenario analysis to support accurate and timely reporting across complex deal structures. Underlying collateral assets include but not limited to consumer loan portfolios, credit card portfolios, private company debt, and residential whole loan portfolios, with a focus on the alternative investment space.

Model Update:

Work on existing valuation models including updating historical and future cashflows monthly to critically evaluate change in IRR, P&L and FV of the investments

Covenant Monitoring:

Monitor financial covenants of companies monthly and analyze any trend or breach. Report on the findings to the senior management.

Financial Modeling:

Transaction modeling and analytics, which involves cash flow modeling, recalculating certain collateral quality and concentration limitations set out in each transaction's indenture, including bond principal and interest payments, credit-enhancement, hedging instruments, fees and waterfalls for structured deals. Work with financial models including diverse valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow

Data Analysis:

Perform analyses on financial and economic data, subject companies, guideline companies, industries and markets, and other types of funds and investment analysis

Reporting

: Prepare reports documenting valuation analysis including the methods used, key assumptions and final conclusions. This includes presenting findings to management or other stakeholders.

Collaboration:

Interact with hedge funds, private credit funds, private equity, venture capital, and limited partner investment and finance officers on the valuation of investments

Portfolio Review:

Help prepare monthly data on performance of portfolio of investments to present to the senior management.

Skills:

Educational Background

: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) may be preferred.

Industry Experience

: Previous experience (2+ years) in valuation, financial analysis or a related field.

Problem Solving Skill

: Candidate should have ability and proficiency to drive the business outcome , should be self-starter and pay attention to details , should pro-actively reach out and communicate with the client for any questions.

Technical Skills

: Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI or VBA preferred for automation of repetitive tasks.

Analytical Skills

: Strong analytical and quantitative skills including proficiency in financial modeling and valuation methodologies. Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools.

Communication Skills

: Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner and proactively.
