Job Title: Lead SME - Business Intelligence (DOMO BI)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Lead BI SME (Subject Matter Expert)

in DOMO BI

to lead a strategic BI assessment and transformation initiative. The client currently uses

DOMO BI

as their primary tool, and the role involves evaluating its usage, optimizing its setup including

ETL pipelines

, rationalizing dashboards, and assessing readiness for potential migration. The ideal candidate will act as an

individual contributor and thought leader

.

Key Responsibilities:

DOMO BI Core skills

DOMO Platform Setup & Administration - Proficient in configuring DOMO instances, managing user roles and permissions, setting up data governance policies, and integrating with enterprise identity providers (SSO, LDAP). Data Integration & ETL Development -Skilled in connecting to diverse data sources (cloud, on-prem, APIs), building and optimizing ETL pipelines using DOMO Magic ETL and SQL transforms, and ensuring data quality and refresh reliability. Dashboard & App Development - Expertise in designing interactive dashboards and custom apps using DOMO Cards, Pages, and DDX Bricks, aligned with business KPIs and user personas. Performance Optimization & Governance - Experience in monitoring data pipeline performance, managing dataset sizes, implementing naming conventions, and enforcing dashboard lifecycle and version control best practices.

BI Assessment & Strategy

Evaluate the current usage and configuration of DOMO BI including data sources, ETL pipelines, and user access. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization. Define best practices for dashboard development, data governance, and user adoption. Review the setup and configuration of DOMO BI including data connectors, dataflows, and ETL pipelines. Optimize data ingestion and transformation processes within DOMO. Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability of DOMO solutions. Provide comparative analysis between DOMO and other BI tool capabilities.

Dashboard Inventory & Rationalization

Inventory and classify existing dashboards. Recommend dashboards for retirement, consolidation, or enhancement. Establish a framework for ongoing dashboard lifecycle management. Assess the feasibility and value of transitioning to other BI tools Define a roadmap for migration including architecture, data modeling, and training.

Stakeholder Engagement & Thought Leadership

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and share insights. Present findings, recommendations, and roadmaps to senior leadership. Stay current with BI trends, tools, and methodologies. Mentor internal teams and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (

B.Tech preferred

). Advanced certifications in BI tools (DOMO, Power BI) are a plus.

Experience

8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. 3+ years of hands-on experience with DOMO BI including setup, ETL, and dashboard development. Strong experience with Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. Proven track record of leading BI assessments and tool rationalization projects.

Skills

Deep understanding of BI architecture, data integration, and visualization best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
