We are looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Manager - Graphic Design with up-to-date industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. In this role, you will lead the design function, guide a team of designers, and ensure that all creative output aligns with client objectives and brand identity while maintaining high visual impact across print and digital platforms.
Creative Direction & Strategy:
Lead the ideation and development of visual concepts based on client briefs and marketing objectives.
Plan and oversee design concepts by studying relevant information, market trends, and brand guidelines.
Ensure all creative solutions are aligned with brand positioning, campaign goals, and overall communication strategy.
Design Quality & Execution
Demonstrate strong graphic design skills with a robust portfolio covering digital, print, branding, and campaign creatives.
Review and refine design work produced by the team, ensuring high standards of creativity, consistency, and attention to detail.
Oversee the creation of a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, social media, websites, presentations, and marketing collateral using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, InDesign, etc.
Guide the team in illustrating concepts through appropriate art arrangements, typography, sizing, and style, and approve designs before final release.
Ensure final layouts are thoroughly reviewed and suggest improvements wherever necessary.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor, guide, and upskill junior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of creativity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Allocate and manage design tasks, timelines, and priorities to ensure smooth execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Web Development, Content, and Performance Marketing to translate requirements into impactful visuals.
Contribute to overall team and organizational goals by proactively supporting projects and stepping in wherever needed.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Manage end-to-end client communication from a design perspective, including understanding requirements, clarifying expectations, and presenting creative concepts.
Discuss design possibilities, timelines, and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders, setting realistic expectations.
Present design options, rationales, and concepts confidently and handle feedback constructively to refine and finalize outputs.
Vendor & Production Coordination
Coordinate with external agencies, printers, production teams, web designers, and other creative partners as required.
Oversee preparation of finished artwork for print and digital, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
Innovation & Industry Awareness
Stay up-to-date with industry-leading software, technologies, and design trends (CorelDRAW, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.).
Encourage experimentation and fresh thinking within the team while maintaining brand consistency.
Professionalism & Ownership
Uphold professionalism with respect to time, costs, and deadlines, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budgets.
Take complete ownership of the design function for assigned brands/clients, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design such as B.Des, M.Des, Diploma in Graphic Design, or any other relevant design qualification from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in the design field, preferably in an agency or fast-paced marketing environment.
Proven experience in leading design teams, handling multi-brand portfolios, and managing end-to-end creative projects.
Skills & Competencies
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects / Premiere Pro will be an added advantage).
Strong command over design tools and workflows used for both print and digital media.
Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, conceptual thinking, branding work, campaign creatives, and multi-platform design.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to justify design decisions to clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and also collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of print production processes (formats, colour profiles, print specs, finishes, etc.) will be considered an added advantage.
