Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to lead our geotechnical and topographical survey operations in Hooghly/Kolkata. This is a senior leadership position requiring proven expertise in managing large-scale geotechnical investigations, business development, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and independently manage all aspects of geotechnical survey operations with a team of 10+ professionals Drive business growth through strong industry networks and client relationship management Secure new projects and maintain relationships with key clients in construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors Oversee drilling operations, surveying activities, and civil engineering investigations Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with drilling contractors, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors Ensure project delivery meets quality standards, timelines, and client expectations Provide technical guidance on soil investigations, foundation studies, and geotechnical reporting Maintain compliance with IS codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and technical presentations for clients Able to handle and negotiate labour and supplier issues

Required Qualifications

Minimum 20 years of proven experience in geotechnical investigation, soil testing, or related civil engineering field Strong understanding of drilling techniques (SPT, rotary drilling, core drilling), in-situ testing, and laboratory procedures Established network within WB, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and NE States construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors Demonstrated ability to acquire new business and maintain long-term client relationships Extensive experience managing customer expectations and supplier relationships Proven track record of independently managing technical teams In-depth knowledge of IS codes related to geotechnical investigations and foundation engineering Strong commercial acumen and P&L management experience

Preferred Qualifications

B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

Experience with large infrastructure projects (metro, highways, bridges, industrial facilities)

Familiarity with modern investigation techniques and geotechnical software

Existing client base in Eastern India region
