Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Chandigarh for a Senior Manager - Fundraising & Partnerships. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans, cultivating donor relationships, and identifying new opportunities for partnerships. The role involves preparing grant proposals, managing corporate partnerships, and creating innovative initiatives to secure financial and in-kind support. The candidate will also represent the organization in networking events and collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of fundraising strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Fundraising and Partnership Development skills, including donor prospecting, stewardship, and grant writing
Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders
Project Management abilities with a focus on strategic planning, goal-setting, and timeline management
Proficiency in Research and Data Analysis to identify funding opportunities and evaluate project outcomes
Experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in disaster response, climate resilience, or sustainable development, is a strong advantage
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Desirable
Experience in WASH, climate action or disaster-related fundraising.
Prior exposure to North India/Punjab CSR ecosystem.
Experience in building organisational systems from scratch.
Ability to draft high-quality pitch decks and fundraising communication materials.
Ability to speak Hindi or Punjabi is an advantage. Performance Metrics (KPIs)
Annual fundraising targets achieved (CSR + grants).
Number/value of new corporate partnerships secured.
Donor retention & repeat funding rates.
CRM and donor systems fully institutionalised by Month X.
Number of external events attended + partnerships generated.
Timeliness & quality of donor deliverables/reports.
Internal team capacity-building outcomes.
Compensation
INR 65-70K (based on relevant experience)
