We are hiring a Senior Manager for FPGA in Bangalore, reporting to the Head of FPGA within the Product Engineering Unit Silicon. This role is critical to establishing and scaling FPGA development activities at our newly launched Bangalore site.


As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for building the local FPGA team from the ground up. This includes recruiting, onboarding, and developing engineers, as well as setting up the operational structure, ways of working, and technical direction. You will work closely with the Director of FPGA to ensure alignment with strategic goals, execution excellence, and long-term capability growth.


Your leadership will help shape a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational rigor. You will also coordinate cross-functional efforts across global teams and take ownership of project execution, ensuring delivery against schedule, scope, and expectations.


You will define and implement team strategies and plans that support the overall goals of the FPGA sector. Your focus will span the entire development lifecyclefrom concept to product delivery while continuously improving and evolving processes and collaboration models.

What you will do

Build and lead a new FPGA development team in Bangalore. Deliver FPGA solutions for Radio and RAN Compute platforms. Establish and drive FPGA development processes, ensuring quality, scope, and cost targets are met. Oversee the full development cycle from initial concept through production readiness and support post-production activities. Support governance and compliance in collaboration with FPGA vendors. Strengthen collaboration with other units within R&D, including stakeholders in Compute and Radio. Strategically evolve FPGA development operations in close collaboration with the FPGA leadership team and partners. Foster a motivating, customer-focused, and challenging work environment. Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and improvement.

You will bring

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in FPGA or R&D. An analytical, structured, creative, and results-driven approach. Proven leadership experience in technical teams, preferably in a global context. Strong understanding of FPGA platforms and development methodologies. Experience with lean and agile R&D practices. Understanding of capability and portfolio management. A strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style. A strong drive for continuous improvement. Exceptional communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Flexibility and willingness to take on diverse tasks.
