Job Title: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager
Reports to: FP&A Director / Head of Finance / CFO
Position Summary
The Senior FP&A professional plays a key role in driving financial performance by providing actionable insights, preparing accurate forecasts, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role partners with business leaders to translate financial data into meaningful recommendations, ensuring alignment with the company's growth and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial models.
Develop scenario analyses and sensitivity testing to assess potential business outcomes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align assumptions and drivers.
2. Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyze monthly financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare management reporting packages with variance analysis vs. budget/forecast.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with insights and commentary.
3. Strategic Decision Support
Build business cases for new investments, initiatives, and cost optimization programs.
Evaluate ROI and payback on strategic projects.
Provide financial insight to senior leadership for strategic planning.
4. Data & Process Improvement
Improve FP&A tools, templates, and reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Leverage data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for clearer communication of insights.
Collaborate with IT and operations to enhance data quality and accessibility.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CA, CFA).
10+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Industry experience in Logistics is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Proficiency with BI/reporting tools.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial metrics to operational drivers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
