About the role: The role will drive the development and execution of Global Finance ambition to turn data into a strategic asset across the organization by leading the definition, implementation, and adherence to the overall master data & governance activities. This role will support and enable the Finance\'s Data Management and Governance program throughout the organization. In addition, it will be responsible for providing support for all organization-wide data governance activities with a focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework and master data management. This role also supports the effective implementation and execution of data governance processes at the enterprise level and within the various domains and strategic programs. Key responsibilities: . Support and guide to develop the Finance data governance structure, MDM governance, establish enterprise data governance committees, define data governance roles, accountability and ownership, and decision rights lead realization of data as an asset. . Assist in ensuring adherence to Finance data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level. Support the Master Data Management & Data Governance Leadership backing up for data management & governance, data strategy and data risks. . Advise and recommend for the formulation of relevant policies across data governance categories, including access, lineage, quality, security, change management, and environment. . Assist and support in defining Data Governance roles, accountability, and ownership and decision rights across the enterprise and drive data governance initiatives and support the establishment of a Data Governance Program, Build the governance processes and systems to execute, federate, and adapt data strategy across operational units. . Support and counsel to drive the enterprise level data governance practices such as governance forums, data management strategy and MDM capabilities setting up controls, measurement of data maturity across organization and oversee that policies and processes related to data governance initiatives like data quality, access management, acceptable use etc. are communicated and enforced throughout the organization. . Define, manage and mitigate enterprise risks related to data management, data governance and seek executive support where required to remediate actions and Design & Develop Data Governance roadmap and provide transparency on the progress at periodic intervals. . Recommend and provide inputs to the Data Management & Strategy Lead regarding the Data Policy and the emerging opportunities it brings. Support in educating, guiding and coordinating the implementation of Data Governance Strategy across operational units. . Examine trends, develop insights, and collaborate on solutions to sustain and strengthen the data policies in the organization for emerging needs and act as deciding authority for various governance templates, SLAs and benchmarks on various policies, as well as on decisions regarding whether governance tools should be considered. . Works with the business units, IT teams to ensure data ownership and quality, and with ISRM, Data privacy and data security teams and facilitate bi-directional communication of strategies, priorities and issues and monitor and enforce organizational performance against data-specific goals and standards, maximizing value, and mitigating risks. Minimum Requirements Essential Requirement: . Bachelors / Masters in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, and Statistics can also consider Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Decision Science, Quantitative Research, Econometrics, Computational Physics/Chemistry/Biology) and other relevant qualifications. . 8-10 Years of relevant experience in Master Data, Data Governance & Data Strategy, with at least 3 years in Pharma/Healthcare. . In-depth experience of data governance /information management practices, systems and processes including data governance, data modelling, master data management, meta-data management, data quality management . EDM Council DCAM Framework model experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Desirable Requirements: . Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with senior level business and technical partners. . Experience with ERP implementations in a large, multi-national environment. Strong business process acumen, with focus on business processes enabled in ERP platforms. . Workflow capability that operationalizes the data supply chain and data usage across the data ecosystem and the way users/applications interact with system. . Data Quality and profiling capability to help identify and govern condition of a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables. . Understand data Ownership capability for applying quality control discipline to assessing, managing, using, improving, monitoring, maintaining, and protecting organizational information. .
