About the role

The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications will lead the development and execution of communication strategies and campaigns for an organization with a presence in Chennai and Bengaluru. The role involves both internal and external communication initiatives aimed at enhancing brand awareness and engaging associates while aligning with the organization\'s goals. The role will report into Director, Strategy & Performance and Operational Excellence and will be based out of Chennai.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for various functions within the organization.
  • Apply a 360-degree approach to enhance the brand through internal, external, and digital communication channels.
  • Create, edit, and proofread content for various communication materials, ensuring effective messaging for events, initiatives, announcements, updates, and campaigns.
  • Establish a consistent master narrative for the brand\'s representation internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with internal collaborators to identify compelling stories and engage in effective communication.
  • Enhance existing communication channels such as Workplace and newsletters to maintain dynamic and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with leaders to generate impactful ideas and initiatives for leadership communication.
  • Coordinate and align with internal processes to ensure seamless execution of communication results.
  • Develop and handle a small team, ensuring high productivity and accuracy.
  • Implement town hall meetings and other significant organizational events seamlessly.
  • Champion a strong relationship with the Global Communications team to drive impactful initiatives.
  • Manage public relations and external branding by finding opportunities for media intervention.
  • Create a branding plan for company spokespersons and oversee executive branding efforts.
  • Oversee the organization\'s digital channels, including the website and social media, including content and strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy lead to develop compelling stories about the organization\'s growth for both internal and external audiences.

Education / Experience / Key Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, branding, leadership branding, and crisis communications.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s / Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience in Communications or a related field preferred.
  • Strong strategic content development skills with an understanding of the target audience.
  • Strong negotiation and consultancy skills.
  • Creative skills including brand and design knowledge, and experience in writing and producing video content.
  • Understanding of campaign requirements, collaborator engagement, industry trends, brand impact, and communication metrics.
  • Ability to analyze and strategize internal initiatives for awareness, engagement, adoption, and recall.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Prior experience in Corporate Communications, preferably in technology and pharma sectors.
  • Knowledge of external communications, social and traditional media is advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with PR, creative agencies, brand agencies, or media houses is helpful.
  • Certification in Critical Communication is a plus.
