Senior Manager - Content Analytics, Digital Business
Purpose:
To drive data-led decision-making for content strategy and performance at SonyLIV by leading content consumption analysis, identifying actionable insights, and enabling smarter content investments, programming, and user engagement.
Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in Analytics/Business Intelligence preferred.
Experience:
10+ years' experience in Analytics, preferably in digital media, OTT platforms, or consumer tech.
Desirable experience:
Strong background in content performance analysis, predictive modelling, team and stakeholder management.

External: Analytics vendors, research agencies, tech partners

Key Responsibilities:
? Analyse viewership data to track content performance across originals, licensed, and acquired assets
? Build automated dashboards and KPIs to support content, programming, and acquisition teams
? Identify data gaps and critical pipeline failures, callout and collaborate with analytics and product teams to solve for the same
? Identify trends and insights to guide investment in genres, formats, languages, and talent
? Partner with Product and Marketing to optimize user engagement and retention through content
? Drive A/B testing and experimentation with new content and formats
? Lead a small team of analysts to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of insights
? Translate data into actionable business recommendations with clear ROI impact
Critical Competencies:
Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau/Looker
Deep understanding of OTT/TV content metrics (completion rate, watch time, etc.)
Strong storytelling, visualization, and presentation skills
Strategic thinking with strong business acumen
Proficient in configuring automated ETL pipelines for business KPI integration and transformation
