Job Description


Context: The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Digitization is a key strategic initiative being driven in Max Life, and is part of the Digital Center of Excellence (COE). The Digital COE focuses on transforming the organization by digitally enabling distribution processes. As part of the Digital COE, the \'Digital Solutions\' team supports various distribution channels by leveraging digital technologies for solving business problems, as well as refining Operational Processes by working at the intersection of Distribution, Operational Excellence, and Digital Technologies. Story so far: The Digital COE is a young initiative, and has been set up less than 3 years back. In this short span, we have digitized large parts of the digital value chain across all the distribution channels. We have had some great successes with digitizing the sales processes. This is just the beginning. We are custodians of digital initiatives for: Higher revenue Better productivity (reduced costs) Enhanced seller and customer experience We are continuously refining and redefining our existing digital tools, increasing adoption of tools on field. In high churn distribution channels, there are always new users who need to be communicated about the value proposition of adopting the digital way of working. Hence, we constantly evolve the way we interact with field teams to drive adoption through innovative marketing and training practices. The tools give us a wealth of data which needs to be analyzed through smart analytics to enrich business decision making. What will you be doing with us: You will be acting as the Channel/product manager for some of our critical digital tools. These can be in the form of a mobile app for sales, a portal for customer servicing, an app for operations, or a completely new tool being developed. You will work at one end with the business teams which will be the consumer for these tools to develop a roadmap for these, and with our technology team to make the device strategy, decide what features need to be built in first, and once the prototype is ready, get the product tested for technical robustness. Once the product is built, or a new feature released, you will program manage the go-to-market effort for the project. You will build the communication to be shared with field teams including marketing paraphernalia. You will meet the senior leaders and demonstrate the tool and its benefits, taking their buy-in. You will organize the launch activities on field. After the launch, the real action will start. You will study the app performance on field, identify the user issues, and get the technical issues sorted. You will continue to closely engage with the field teams to drive adoption and usage, send out daily updates on the progress. At the same time, you will start working with the sales/ops leadership to think, document and develop the next set of features for the tool. You will run analytics to draw actionable insights with the data generated from the tool. Who are we looking for: You have high energy, excellent project management skills and communication skills. You are interested in the way technology works and are highly customer focused. You understand and empathize with customer\'s pain points, and don\'t mind going the extra mile for troubleshooting and easing the customer\'s pain. You work against tight deadlines of project releases and get work done outside your direct area of incluence. You enjoy having conversations with stakeholders and arrive at quick decisions on moving the digitization agenda ahead. What is your Eligibility: You can be an MBA with a good understanding of sales and marketing, have strategic bent of mind, and some exposure to digital tools. Experience 6-8 years. OR, you can be a seasoned sales person with understanding of financial products. Experience 8-12 years. OR, you can be an engineer with expertise in managing IT projects. Understanding of Agile methodology will be an advantage. Experience 6-9 years.
