Job Summary


Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) is creating a new technology delivery model based on agile and a new internal low-code platform, to enable more efficient delivery of technology across the Group. This flagship project will define and enable longer-term strategic adoption of the platform, and the future success of other projects within businesses and functions across SCB. And this is where you come in... As Senior Business Analyst within this exciting project, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions for Group Internal Audit (GIA). You will be responsible for facilitating the creation, collation and sanitisation of GIA business requirements, from a range of global contributors, stakeholders and SMEs, to be used within SCB's scaled agile delivery framework, to deliver high-quality software products. Acting as a facilitator, modeller, innovator, challenger, and problem solver, you will steer and steward complex business requirements to successful development outcomes and objectives. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in delivering agile transformation projects within an audit / risk environment, as well as being a deft communicator and intellectually rigorous in their approach. This position requires a deep understanding of requirements gathering and analysis, business logic, process design, software development lifecycle processes and agile methodologies, as well as bucket loads of integrity, enthusiasm, and determination.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring alignment between technical and business Product Owners, through clear and thoughtful design assumptions and acceptance criteria. Establishing and maintaining empirical product planning within a complex environment. Facilitating stakeholder collaboration, at all levels, wherever required. Leveraging agile methodologies and Scrum practices to deliver brilliant outcomes across the project.

Act as a bridge for understanding and communication between Business and Technical teams Innovate, imagine and challenge - inject your ideas and energy into what we do and why we're doing it; continually improve what we know today.

Business



Working with Technical and Business product owners, understand the complex environment we operate within and how to navigate it effectively. Understand differing stakeholder perspectives and value propositions, looking for thoughtful and novel ways to communicate with impact and authority on behalf of the project. Work through challenges and issues impacting the project through appropriate channels and escalating mechanisms.

Processes



Play your part in the SDLC, enabling effective sprint planning and design of sprint goals. Collect, collate, challenge and sanitise key business requirements, acting as single point of contact with ley stakeholders and process owners for all requirements and AC development. Drive change and velocity through delivery, aligned to the Bank's control and governance requirements.

Play your part in managing the Bank's and Group Internal Audit's technology assets in line with enterprise risk management standards, deploying effective controls and sustainable risk management processes where appropriate.

Qualifications


Integrity and high professional ethics. Demonstrable experience within risk or audit environments Strong academic background Significant experience working within agile / scrum-based transformation projects. Ability to handle information and business affairs with secrecy and confidentially as appropriate. Must be pragmatic with the ability to communicate effectively with the highest levels of management and decision-making within the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, SMEs, GIA Leadership. Adequate self-awareness and confidence to acknowledge knowledge gaps and seek to fill them from reliable sources. Ability to research and distil information to solve complex commercial data issues.
