Position - Senior Manager / AVP - Technical (Marine Engine & Propulsion Solutions)
Location: Navi Mumbai
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Leader (Sr. Manager / AVP) with 16-18 years of experience in Marine Engines, Propulsion Systems, and Diesel/Gas Engine Services . This role acts as the technical authority for projects, drives customer satisfaction, team capability building, and business expansion readiness .
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical sign-off and ensure zero rework, zero delays, and high customer satisfaction.
Lead and mentor a team of 10-12 engineers (Project & Service).
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery (reduce turnaround time by 0.25-0.5 days per site).
Build capability & succession plans through structured training & development programs.
Ensure safety standards at workshop and project sites.
Evaluate new technologies, suppliers & partnerships to expand service offerings.
Must-Have Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of medium-speed & high-speed diesel engines (CAT, MAN, Wartsila, Niigata, EMD, etc.).
Exposure to propulsion systems, retrofits, and repair projects .
5+ years of hands-on technical work + 3-5 years in a leadership/managerial role .
Basic understanding of automation, electrical & control systems .
Strong communication, project management & people leadership skills.
