Team Summary

Expanding acceptance is a foundational strategy for Visa and central to our growth hypothesis in India and South Asia. The Merchant Sales & Acquiring (MS&A) unit within Visa is responsible for strategy, partnerships and solutions deployment with all players in the seller-enabler ecosystem. This includes partnerships with acquirers, payment service providers and intermediaries such as payment facilitators and aggregators, merchants, bigtech platforms and fintechs. The team also manages our Cybersource business in the cluster.

What a Senior Manager, Acquirers and PSPs, India & South Asia does at Visa:

The Senior Manager will be the account executive responsible for leading our partnerships with acquirers and payment service providers. This includes acquirers, payment aggregators (PAs) and processors. Acquirers and other enablers are crucial for Visa to achieve its market development goals including reaching acceptance net add goals, acceptance quality and deploying Visa seller solutions.

This role has a revenue and business growth ownership linked to the scale and reach of partners being managed. These partners collectively drive a significant part of expand acceptance strategy as well as form the basis of our successful implementation of strategic initiatives such as small merchant business expansion, e-commerce enablement (including CYBS) and Visa Digital Product deployment.

Projects you will be a part of:

  • Own relationships, business outcomes and drive delivery of partnership goals. Manage ongoing account plan and deliver on both strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Develop strategic alignment between partner organizations and Visa. Agree on strategic goals and deliver both long-term and short-term outcomes. Develop and execute partnerships for growth with partners.
  • Deliver the best of Visa to partners by deploying a 360-degree approach. Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as FI CRM, Cybersource, Core/Digital Products, Consulting, Marketing and Innovation.
  • Develop effective relationships across partners and manage towards favorable GCES outcomes and other feedback mechanisms.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:
  • Sound understanding within the payments and financial services industry. Hands-on exposure within the acquiring, payment processing or payment aggregators would be an advantage.
  • Market understanding of the payments industry and Indian payment landscape. Relationships across key players would be valuable.
  • Ability to engage meaningfully with partner executives across banks, merchants, payments intermediaries and technology firms.
  • The candidate must be able to collaborate and drive outcomes across various elements of payments such as merchant acquiring, processing, technology, payment facilitators & other intermediaries, etc.
  • Functional experience in business development, product development and/or strategy and consulting is desirable.
  • Flexibility, cultural adaptability and ability to navigate complexity is required to succeed in a matrixed environment managing varied stakeholders. The role requires the ability to work across cultures and industries.
  • Full time position, based in Mumbai, India. Ability to travel for business is required.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience with a graduate degree or higher education in business or technology.

Experience in digital commerce and the seller-enabler ecosystem will be helpful.
