Senior Manager Accounts Life Insurance
Job Description
Our client is a top life insurer headquartered at Mumbai. We are undertaking a search for a Sr. Manager - Accounts based at their office in Malad.
Background
Finance unit is responsible for monthly closure of financials and GL review and preparation of financials. It also acts as support to operations, shared service and IT team on accounting related queries.
Role Purpose
- Ensure posting of monthly closing entries in SAP accounting system. Support Financial Closure on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Ensure support to timely and accurate preparation of standalone and Consolidated of financials as per relevant Accounting Standards
- Ensure that timely and accurate financial reporting to stock exchanges / website/ Newspapers, XBRL, IRDAI BAP portal
- Provide accounting entries while setting up new product in sub system or under any enhancement
- Quarterly manage statutory auditor\'s queries and data requirement so as to get sign off timely sign off from them. Acting as SPOC from Company\'s behalf.
- Guide operations and shared service team on accounting related queries.
- Study and evaluation of relevant various GAAP applicable to the Company
Competencies (Knowledge & Skills):-
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS word
- Working knowledge of SAP FI
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
- Attention to detail
