Job Description

Job Purpose:
The individual will be a part of Accounting and Business Support ('ABS') division and will be controlling a team of people, assisting clients in managing their accounting including preparation of MIS and other reports and various applicable compliances including but not limited to Payroll including labor laws, tax withholding, Goods and Services tax, Corporate tax, Reserve bank of India and certifications for foreign remittances.
Role Responsibilities:
The incumbent shall be responsible for managing the relationships with clients and acting as the escalation point below partners for all clients. He/she shall work closely with the ABS teams on technical issues. The responsibilities shall include but shall not be limited to:
Developing and strengthening client relationships
Business development to bring in new clients with pre-defined targets
Monthly meetings with clients to understand client deliverables and achievement and sense client dissatisfaction, if any
Attending meetings with Partners for business development
Responding and providing solutions on technical issues to ABS clients and internal teams
Daily monitoring client mails for follow-up with teams for timely and correct responses
Discussions with teams on weekly basis for To-do list of teams ensuring action is taken timely on all critical issues and also routine work is not delayed
Ensuring systems and processes are being followed by teams
Ensuring regular and timely invoicing and collections thereof to meet the targets of ABS division
Responsible for preparation of revenue and HR budgets of ABS Division annually and achievement thereof
Team building and motivation
Building performance score cards at the beginning of each year for team members and ensuring quarterly appraisals are done timely
Knowledge dissemination to team members on technical topics through presentations and discussions
In-depth knowledge of compliance related areas including accounting, accounting standards, payroll processing, service tax, VAT & CST, direct taxes (upto filing of tax return), FEMA and RBI regulations and Corporate laws
Requirements
Desired Skills:

  • Should have analytical thought processes to understand and interpret legal provisions of relevant laws.
  • Should be a good communicator and conversant with English language- both verbal and written
  • Highly motivated and ability to provide solutions
  • Highly developed communication skills to provide a high level of comfort to clients
  • Able to manage relationships and pick up signals when any client is unhappy
  • Should have the mindset of professional practice and delivering on multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation and oratory skills
  • Strong team player
Qualification:
  • Qualified CA, with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in professional services firm.
  • Expert in accounting issues and accounting standards (including IND AS) as applicable in India.
  • Expert knowledge of tax withholding, payroll processing, direct and indirect tax compliances.
  • Basic understanding of labor laws, economic laws, exchange control matters and Companies Act 2013
