About the Function We are a team of experts , collaborative and creative with a shared passion for business, brand and industry to deliver outstanding results for business . The function manages all internal and external communications as well as Brand and Public Affairs. We are responsible for brand strategy, positioning, perception and reputation management PR, media relations, financial communications, speaking engagements, thought leadership employee engagement, internal communications, change management, crisis and issues communications industry associations and academia engagement. A powerful function that is embedded and integral to the organisation with a goal to reposition the brand in global markets. Purpose - Broad objective of the role This role is responsible for Global PR & External communication, Media & PR - across multiple geographies, and giving strategic counsel / advice to Tata Comm senior leadership on messaging across business strategy, products, solutions, corporate, issues/crises situation. Also liasing with Internal Comms team to amplify the messaging to employees. Drive the development and implementation of a Global integrated strategic communications plan to advance the brand identity, broaden awareness, and increase the visibility of Tata Communications across key audiences in our chosen geographies. The Role is also responsible for generating high impact, senior influencer programmes aimed at driving strong market thought leadership and positioning for the brand with a strong focus on delivery against the Corporate departments metrics and targets as well as ROI on all campaign activity. Operating Network External: The role demands managing media relationships with key influential media including local/HQ and regional such as Economic Times, CNBC, NDTV, BBC, Thomson -Reuters, Bloomberg, The Hindu, Business line, Wallstreet Journal. ALso, driving reationships with Global PR Agency teams, Industry thought leaders & Influencers , Bloggers, among others, as an expert in managing relationships with prominent global media and has close relationships with regional and India media and some amount expertise in managing relationships with Senior Editors. Key leaders of industry bodies in the market as part of the senior stakeholder engagement programmes as well as in times of media crisis. The role also comes into contact with and engages with senior industry analsyts in the global market Internal : Role deals with CEO & Executive Leadership at Tata Communications including the CEO, CFO , CMO, CHRO, CTO, CSO and Heads of Business Units & Segments as well as President level stakeholders for the Product organization and other shared services teams. Key Responsibilities Management of all GEO Markets PR function : Lead and manage all India/HQ and Regional markets PR strategy and roll out, with close alignment to the global business strategy to define and drive the Global External Comm Strategy & Planning along with the International Corporate Communications team. Proactive news generation and regular engagement with key media influencers/ press organizations in regions. Work closely with Tata Communications global BU heads (like GES, Service Provider, MES) to drive brand visibility and education in the market and ensure a strong thought leadership positioning for Tata Communications, through regular content placement and exposure of its approved media spokespeople across both traditional and digital media channels. Media Management-Social and Traditional : Work with the team to ensure all social & Traditional media is tracked on a daily basis and that any mention of Tata Communications is noted and managed, where necessary. Industry trends and news pieces relevant to Tata Communications should be identified and responded Responsibilities Contd: Project Management : Strong alignment of PR to Internal Communications, taking full responsibility for the exposure and delivery of external communications via Internal Communications campaigns and roll out Superior project management skills - ability to deliver 360 degree campaigns (external and internal communications) and alignment to marketing initiatives and direction. Become a regular source of strategic and value-add counsel for internal customer Team Management: Team Management and People Development: Create lasting internal relationships to ensure long-term business success Take on full responsibility and final delivery for subordinates work Model corporate values and lead by example Conduct goal setting and performance review for the team. Drive team engagement through R&R initiatives Coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues. Minimum qualification & experience At least 15 years\' experience Post graduate in Media/Communications Strong project management skills Strong budget management skills Strong understanding of analytics focused on campaign ROI and reporting at global level and ability to communicate with people across cultures.
