sectors. As we expand our international operations, we are seeking a skilled and proactive legal professional to lead our compliance and legal functions, ensuring regulatory adherence and robust contract management.
Role Summary
The Senior Legal & Compliance Executive will be responsible for managing the company's legal affairs and ensuring full compliance with domestic and international regulations. This includes drafting and reviewing contracts, handling statutory filings, coordinating with legal consultants, and supporting litigation and risk mitigation efforts. The role demands strong legal acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Documentation & Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, MoUs, and international trade agreements.
Ensure legal documentation complies with Indian and international laws.
Validate Letters of Credit (LCs) and export-related legal documents.
Regulatory Compliance
Manage ROC filings, board resolutions, and statutory documentation.
Ensure timely compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, SEZ regulations, and other applicable laws.
Maintain statutory registers and prepare records for audits and inspections.
Legal Consultant Coordination
Act as the primary liaison for external legal advisors and law firms.
Share case briefs, documentation, and updates with management & consultants.
Monitor progress and ensure timely resolution of legal matters.
Risk Management & Legal Advisory
Provide internal legal counsel on contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
Identify and mitigate legal risks in domestic and international operations.
Assist in drafting internal policies and procedures from a legal standpoint.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Support ongoing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
Manage legal notices, claims, responses, and case documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
:
LLB + LLM (Company Secretary qualification is a plus)
Experience
:
4-6 years in corporate legal and compliance roles, preferably in export, manufacturing, or engineering sectors
Skills
:
Strong knowledge of international commercial law, FEMA, contract law, and regulatory filings
Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills
Experience working with external legal advisors or law firms
