Job Description

We are looking for Senior Software Engineer- Java Backend who should be passionate about software development and technology, have demonstrable technical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will show a clear understanding of development trends and a broad understanding of development paradigms. They will have excellent organizational skills, good knowledge of the full software development life cycle.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field At least 7 Years of relevant experience technologies like Java 11+, File I/O, Multi-Threading, Collections, Spring Boot, micro service architecture, AWS cloud. Good understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles. Strong technical background and in-depth experience with server-side frameworks, event driven architecture, system integration patterns. Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL Experience using AWS serverless resources, including but not limited to Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, S3 Worked on Jira, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, bitbucket Experience with continuous integration and continuous development pipelines.

It would be great if you also had . . .

Exposure to Linux Shell scripting Client-side tools & frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

What will you be doing in this role?

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards and write technical documentation. Develop and maintain unit and integration tests that are part of an automated Continuous Integration pipeline. Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve process and product quality in pursuit of excellence. Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development, testing, and production. Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in software development.

About the Team

You will be working as part of IP Content team wherein your focus would be to process and deliver high quality patent data from multiple input source formats. We have multiple squads each consists of Software Engineers, Testers, Lead and Release Manager.

Hours of Work

This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working in IST time zone. 9 hours of work per day including 1-hour lunch break. We have hybrid work model, flexible and employee friendly work environment.
