We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead for Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) to drive evidence-based decision-making across programs. The role involves designing and implementing M&E frameworks, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis, generating actionable insights, and providing strategic leadership to foster a culture of impact measurement and learning.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic M&E Leadership

  • Design and oversee program-wide M&E frameworks, indicators, and results chains aligned with organizational strategy and donor requirements.
  • Standardize and digitize M&E systems across programs in education, livelihoods, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of evidence-driven decision-making and continuous learning across teams.
Data Collection & Validation
  • Supervise the design and rollout of surveys, evaluations, and studies.
  • Ensure ethical, accurate, and timely data collection through field teams and digital tools.
  • Conduct spot checks to validate data integrity and maintain high standards of quality.
Analysis, Reporting & Knowledge Sharing
  • Analyze program data to generate actionable insights on outcomes and impact.
  • Develop real-time dashboards for monitoring program performance.
  • Prepare periodic reports for leadership, donors, and government stakeholders.
Capacity Building & Team Support
  • Mentor program staff and field teams on M&E methodologies, tools, and data analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance to strengthen evidence-based planning and adaptive learning.
External Engagement
  • Represent the organization in donor meetings, government forums, and external evaluations.
  • Collaborate with research agencies and partners on joint studies and impact assessments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Framework Implementation: 100% of projects have updated, approved M&E frameworks aligned with donor requirements.
  • Data Accuracy & Timeliness: 95% of program data validated and error-free; dashboards updated within 7 working days.
  • Impact Reporting & Insights: Quarterly impact reports delivered on time; minimum 3 evidence-based recommendations implemented per program annually.
  • Capacity Building: At least 2 training workshops conducted annually; 80% of participants demonstrate improved M&E skills.
  • External Engagement: Represent the organization in 2+ external forums annually; respond to donor audit queries on time.
Required Experience & Expertise
  • 5-7 years in M&E, research, or impact assessment within the development/social sector, preferably in education, livelihoods, or inclusion initiatives.
  • Proven ability to design and implement M&E frameworks, logic models, and theories of change; lead baseline, midline, and endline studies; deliver high-quality impact evaluations.
  • Strong command of quantitative and qualitative research methods; proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, or advanced Excel).
  • Experience with digital data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO) and dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, Zoho Analytics).
  • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements (CSR, international funders, government programs).
