Overview:

This position is for the Applied Research & Technology - Emerging Technologies team and requires prior experience working in research and development of Formal Methods solutions. Prior experience in Aerospace & Defense industry is a plus.

Objectives of this Role

• Manage and direct research and development (R&D) and processes to meet the needs of our Aerospace & Defense products
• Understand company and customer challenges and how integrating Formal Methods capabilities can help create solutions that solve these challenges

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and delivering solutions to the customer
• Document and articulate solution architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation
• Serve as liaison between stakeholders and project teams, delivering feedback and enabling them to make necessary changes to product performance or presentation

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science with specialization in Formal Methods 3+ years of experience in applying Formal Methods to practical and comprehensive technology solutions
• Experience in Model Checking
• Experience in Java & Python
• Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best practice patterns
• Experience in building Formal Methods applications with Microservices and REST API
• Experience with deployment on Cloud

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic Search etc.
• Experience working with Innovation Accelerators & Startups
• Experience with Academia and Research Institutions
