We are seeking a Senior Lead Engineer - CFD Analysis with strong expertise in thermal-fluid simulations and preferably heat exchanger product knowledge. This role is ideal for someone who excels in high-fidelity CFD modeling and can bridge physics-based simulations with data-driven approaches such as Digital Twins, AI, and Machine Learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing predictive models, accelerating design cycles, and enabling intelligent, connected products through hybrid simulation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced
CFD analysis
for thermal-fluid systems and heat exchanger components
Develop and validate
high-fidelity CFD models
for coils, ducts, and hydronic systems
Apply
LES / DNS turbulence modeling
techniques for complex flow and heat transfer problems
Post-process and analyze simulation results to validate hypotheses and guide design decisions
Develop
reduced-order / surrogate models
from CFD data for real-time or near-real-time applications
Build and calibrate
physics-based and hybrid digital twins
using lab or field data
Integrate
AI / ML techniques
with CFD and sensor data to enhance predictive capability
Automate CFD workflows and data pipelines using
Python
Work in
HPC / GPU environments
for large-scale simulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate simulation insights into product improvements
Mandatory Skills
Deep expertise in
CFD
, with strong focus on
turbulence modeling (LES, DNS)
Hands-on experience with
STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, or OpenFOAM
Experience running and post-processing
high-fidelity simulations
for thermal-fluid systems
Ability to create
reduced-order or surrogate models
from CFD simulations
Hands-on experience developing
digital twins
(physics-based or hybrid with ML)
Strong proficiency in
Python
for:
Workflow automation
Data pipelines
ML / AI integration with CFD and sensor data
Comfortable working in
HPC / GPU computing environments
Preferred Skills
Expertise in
conjugate heat transfer (CHT)
modeling for complex geometries
Strong meshing experience using
ANSYS Fluent Meshing
or
HyperMesh
Hands-on experience with
heat exchanger analysis and design
Experience with
optimization frameworks
(OptiSlang, Tosca, or similar)
Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's / PhD in
Mechanical, Thermal, or Automotive Engineering
8-10 years of professional experience in
CFD analysis
Strong command of
meshing strategies and turbulence models
Working knowledge of
Reduced Order Modeling (ROM)
Experience applying
Digital Twins, AI, and ML
in CFD applications
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
