You are an experienced Senior (lead) Electrical Engineer with a proven track record of designing complex Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Power Distribution systems and preferably experienced in large scale Data Center Projects.

Within our team, the focus is on the realization of electrical power distribution systems within the industrial sector and specifically the data center sector. Besides the technical aspects, the role will also consist of coordinating activities.

We are responsible to drive, negotiate and execute business contracts with international Data Centers customers,. We take responsibility through all phases from conceptualization right design to l order execution, to after sales when it comes to doing business with global Data Centers customers.


What are your responsibilities?


You are senior and a pioneer in your field and, as a technical expert within our department, responsible for developing basic technical concepts within energy distribution. In your position you will be in close contact with the client and your colleagues who perform the detail engineering under your guidance. The role involves performing part of the engineering work yourself, as well as managing and supervising fellow engineers. You advise our clients technically and coordinate the technical design within a project with the client, taking the commercial impact into account. For medium- and large-sized projects, there is thorough cooperation with the project manager.


Tasks within your position include, among other:

• 
  Creating basic designs and supervising detailed designs in the field of low and medium voltage distributors, E-houses and busduct systems;
• Understanding technical requirements from specifications and converting them into appropriate basic designs;
• Reviewing technical basic and detail designs;
• Ensuring that installations are designed and delivered in accordance with the specified requirements;
• Planning project work and preparing progress reports;
• Managing and supervising fellow engineers for detail engineering;
• Proactively liaising with the client and the sales and quotation team;
• Maintaining financial status and preparing additional work quotations;
• Organizing and attending factory tests (FAT) with the customer;
• Managing any sub-suppliers and Siemens factories;
• Initiating and developing improvement proposals;

What do you need to be considered for this position?

• 
  Completed degree in electrical engineering (Bachelor or Master level) with at least 10 years\' work experience as a (lead) engineer;
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical distribution boards, distribution boards, transformers and electrical protective devices;
• You are creative and able to communicate ideas and inspire/motivate people;
• Accurate, critical and have a broad technical knowledge and interest;
• Flexible working attitude, practical and result-oriented;
• Stress-resistant and able to act within a pressured environment;
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Working week of 40 hours.

What else do I need to know?


Besides engineering work at our office in The Hague or working from home, you will regularly travel to customers or other Siemens locations.
In this position, you will be working within the operating company "Smart Infrastructure" in the "Electrification & Automation" department in an enthusiastic, relatively young and diverse team. the past year, our team is increasing and we are looking for new enthusiastic colleagues. Our department specializes in customized design and construction of energy solutions for demanding customers both at home and abroad in the higher end of the market.
