We are currently hiring on behalf of one of our key clients who is seeking an experienced Senior JIRA Developer for an exciting opportunity. If you enjoy solving complex problems, customizing workflows, and leveraging advanced JIRA features and plugins like ScriptRunner, this role could be a perfect fit.



This position goes beyond basic JIRA administration -- our client needs someone who can design, customize, and extend the Atlassian ecosystem to meet their unique business needs and scale effectively.

Client-Based Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop custom JIRA workflows, schemes, and dashboards based on
business requirements.
Work extensively with ScriptRunner for advanced JIRA customizations using Groovy
scripting.
Automate tasks and improve system efficiency through custom scripts and integrations. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into
scalable JIRA solutions.
Perform system upgrades, plugin configurations, and maintain JIRA performance and
health.
Integrate JIRA with other tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools). Document technical designs, configurations, and operational processes.

We're Looking For:

8+ years of hands-on experience working with Atlassian tools, primarily JIRA. Proven experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting for custom solutions. Strong understanding of JIRA architecture, APIs, and plugin ecosystem. Ability to manage JIRA at scale -- across multiple projects and teams. Experience working in Agile environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience with other Atlassian tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, or Jira Service
Management.
Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations with third-party tools. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines or CI/CD processes.
