About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Java Developer

to join our Product Engineering team in Chennai. This role involves building complex, large-scale backend systems with deep expertise in

Java and Spring

.

This is a

senior-level role

requiring strong technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and hands-on development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend solutions using

Core Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable features. Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance through best practices and reviews. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where required. Work closely with Cloud product owners to understand, analyze product requirements, provide feedback, and deliver a complete solution. Technical leadership of software design in meeting requirements of service stability, reliability, scalability, and security. Participate and drive technical discussions within engineering group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team, provide internal training and support tech team.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Core Java (Java 8 or above), Spring Boot, and Microservices.

Solid understanding of

data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

. Experience working with

RESTful APIs

,

multithreaded programming

, and performance optimization. Good knowledge of

database systems

(SQL/NoSQL) and caching mechanisms. Strong background in designing and developing event-based / pub-sub workflows & data ingestion solutions. Proficiency and hands on experience with Kafka at scale (or similar) desired.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with

cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

. Experience with

CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

. Exposure to

front-end integration (Angular/React)

is a plus.

Candidate Profile

6+ years of professional experience in backend development. Proven track record in delivering

complex, R&D-driven projects

. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.
Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
